MAIDEN haben letztens in einem Interview verkündet, dass sie sich 2014 von der Tour erhohlen wollen ! ,, Wir schauen was kommt, aber erstmal wollen wir uns von der Tour, die viele Monate ging, erhohlen" . . . da sie mit ihrem Bier sehr viel verdienen, wollen sie 2014 ,,das Bier auf Tour gehen lassen"

The musician ahead of Wednesday 's show , talks about his admiration for Black Sabbath and tells of his special Chile.

Dave is an extremely friendly guy . The night I talked to him, played with Megadeth in California , the night of Dave Mustaine 's birthday . Even promised hello from us.

He laughs a lot and speaks fondly of our country. Here , the best of that conversation

How about Dave ? A pleasure to greet you . How are things over there?

I feel fantastic . How are things over there?

Well , all fine , awaiting the return of Iron Maiden Chile into a second show at the National Stadium , the same place where they recorded their latest DVD . I guess that is special to you ...

Yes , absolutely . "Live" is remarkable , especially for the audience reaction . He also had a huge commercial success . Every person who sees you realize how passionate they are fans of your country . Obviously that is special back and do it as soon (laughs ) Basically it will be a new show . Relive the tour of " Seventh Son " , so it will be a different set to the DVD.

It is very similar to what we did for 88 , with some appearances of Eddie , a technical production . Most are songs that we really enjoyed playing live . I want to be in Chile to show this new set.

There is also a curiosity. It is your seventh time in Chile and bring the tour 's "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son " . All Shoes ...

I also closed our last tour there ( are wrong. Was in London four months later) is an excellent way to end a tour, with the aim so high. I think that makes it more memorable and incredible. It's a dream come true . You know what happens ? And I 'm serious.

The fans are really beyond amazing, their reaction is indescribable . We promise we will not disappoint . We carry an array of equipment, two hours of music and songs we have not played in 25 years.

Can you describe a little more the technological gadgetry that bring ?

As I told you , is very similar to the Seventh Son tour today with what technology allows us to . Eddie has a couple of appearances as well, but do not want to say much . With all the information that filters through internet, rather keep a little secret (laughs ) . But I can promise you will be spectacular , with lots of pyrotechnics . If they are Maiden fans will not be disappointed.



They have been touring with Megadeth in the United States. In fact they play two days after you in Chile . How was rotated with them and by the way, today is the birthday of Dave ...

We really enjoyed the tour with them, Dave is an extremely friendly guy .

I think it's a good combination to have them . And surely we sang happy birthday .

Speaking of shows opening in Chile will have to Slayer and Ghost . How did you come to them for this tour? I do not know if you knew , but Tom Araya is Chilean .

We've seen Ghost in several European Tour shows . They are great , I like that wave they have, all that imagery .

And we shared Slayer show many times. They are an excellent fit for us, make great music .



Returning to Maiden ... plan to make a new record . Like it or not "The Final Frontier " was released in 2010 ...

We will be busy with the tour this year. Then we will take a break. We have many plans still not know much what's going to happen next year . Just watch and wait. We're going to take a break . Probably hanging out with my friends and drink beer iron Maiden ( laughs).

There is something you want to tell the box office . You are going to play two days before Black Sabbath. Have you followed your meeting? What do you think ?

I have not heard the album but I knew I have done very well . I'm a big fan of Black Sabbath. It's been a big influence on us are great musicians. It's great to be in Chile.

A little, not much. I was born in a place called Totthenham , then the Totthenham Hotspur is the team I should support , because my parents were followers . But the truth is that I am more to the national team. The more interested is , without doubt, Steve . He really is into football.

Dave Murray, parte del tridente de guitarras en Iron Maiden: “Luego del tour nos vamos a tomar un break”

El músico adelanta el show del miércoles, habla de su admiración por Black Sabbath y nos cuenta de su especial con Chile.

Dave es un tipo extremadamente amable. La noche en que hablamos con él, tocaban con Megadeth en California, justo la noche del cumpleaños de Dave Mustaine. Incluso prometió saludarlo de parte nuestra.

Se ríe mucho y habla con mucho cariño de nuestro país. Aquí, lo mejor de esa conversación

¿Qué tal Dave? Un gusto saludarte. ¿Cómo va todo por allá?

Me siento fantástico. ¿Cómo va todo por allá?

Bien, todo muy bien, esperando el regreso de Iron Maiden a Chile en tu segundo show en el Estadio Nacional, el mismo lugar donde grabaron su último DVD. Imagino que es especial para ustedes…

Sí, absolutamente. “En Vivo” es notable, sobre todo por la reacción del público. Además tuvo un gran éxito comercial. Cada persona que lo ve se da cuenta de lo apasionados que son los fanáticos de tu país. Obvio que es especial volver y hacerlo tan pronto (risas) Básicamente será un show nuevo. Revivimos el tour del “Seventh Son”, por lo que será un set distinto al del DVD.

Es muy similar a lo que hicimos el 88, con algunas apariciones de Eddie, una gran producción técnica. En su mayoría son canciones que disfrutamos mucho tocar en vivo. Ya queremos estar en Chile para mostrar este nuevo set.

Además hay una curiosidad. Es tu séptima vez en Chile y traes la gira del “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”. Todo calza…

(Risas). Es verdad…

Además cierran el tour aquí en Chile. ¿Qué hay de eso?

Creo que también cerramos nuestro último tour allá (se equivoca. Fue en Londres 4 meses después) Es una excelente forma de terminar una gira, con el ánimo tan arriba. Creo que lo hace más memorable e increíble. Es un sueño hecho realidad. ¿Sabes lo que pasa? Y te lo digo en serio.

Los fanáticos allá son de verdad increíbles, su reacción es algo indescriptible. Prometemos que no los vamos a decepcionar. Llevamos un arsenal de equipos, dos horas de música y canciones que no hemos tocado en 25 años.

¿Nos puedes describir un poco más el aparataje tecnológico que traen?

Como te contaba, es muy similar a la gira del Seventh Son con lo que hoy la tecnología nos permite. Eddie tiene un par de apariciones también, pero no te quiero contar mucho. Con toda la información que se filtra por internet, preferiría mantener un poco el secreto (risas). Pero te puedo prometer que será espectacular, con mucha pirotécnia. Si son fans de Maiden no se van a decepcionar.

Han estado girando con Megadeth en los Estados Unidos. De hecho ellos tocan dos días después de ustedes en Chile. Cómo ha sido girar con ellos y de paso, hoy es el cumpleaños de Dave…

Hemos disfrutado mucho el tour con ellos, Dave es un tipo extremadamente amable.

Creo que es una buena combinación tenerlos a ellos. Y de seguro que le cantamos el feliz cumpleaños.

Hablando de shows de apertura, en Chile van a tener a Slayer y Ghost. ¿Cómo fue que llegaron a ellos para esta gira? No sé si sabías, pero Tom Araya es chileno.

Hemos visto a Ghost en varios shows del tour europeo. Son geniales, me gusta esa onda que tienen, toda esa imaginería.

Y con Slayer hemos compartido espectáculo muchas veces. Son un excelente complemento para nosotros, hacen música grandiosa.

Volviendo a Maiden… ¿tienen planes de hacer un nuevo disco. Mal que mal “The Final Frontier” salió el 2010…

Estaremos ocupados con el tour este año. Luego nos vamos a tomar un descanso. No tenemos muchos planes aún ni sabemos mucho lo que va a pasar el próximo año. Sólo ver y esperar. Nos vamos a tomar un break. Probablemente juntarme con mis amigos y tomar la cerveza de iron Maiden (risas).

Hay algo muy taquilla que te quiero contar. Ustedes van a tocar dos días antes que Black Sabbath. ¿Has seguido su reunión? ¿Qué te parece?

No he escuchado el disco pero supe que les ha ido muy bien. Soy un gran fanático de Black Sabbath. Ha sido una gran influencia para nosotros, son grandes músicos. Es grandioso que estén en Chile.

Sí octubre es una especie de paraíso acá. Por ustedes, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Slayer y más…

(risas) Grandioso.

Como si fuera poco, llegan con cerveza propia. ¿Qué nos puedes contar de eso?

Te voy a contar algo. Bruce fue el que estuvo más involucrado, estuvo encima de todo. A mí me gusta mucho tomar cerveza, y te pe puedo asegurar que es una muy buena. Tiene muy buen sabor. Deberíamos tomarnos una en Chile para que la pruebes. Nunca pensé que íbamos a hacer algo así, pero pasó y estamos felices. La recomiendo, mientras no tengas que manejar (risas).

Esta es una pregunta personal. ¿Eres futbolero, Dave?

Un poco, no tanto. Yo nací en un lugar llamado Totthenham, entonces el Totthenham Hostpur es el equipo que yo debiera apoyar, porque mis padres eran seguidores. Pero la verdad es que sigo más a la selección. El más interesado es, sin dudas, Steve. Él sí que es futbolero.

also kann mir kaum vorstellen das sie die maiden England tour ein zweites mal nach Europa bringen, mit der selben setlist.
sind bisher ja aber auch eher nur gerüchte. wer weiss wieviel da wirklich dran ist.

Naja, dann müsste es wohl ne reguläre Best of Tour werden. Aber die Japan und Australien Dates könnte doch noch Maiden England sein.

Also ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass die Band mit der aktuellen Show noch Australien und Japan beehrt. Habe mich so wie so sehr gewundert warum die beiden Länder nicht auf dem Tourplan standen. Dort ziehen Maiden ja auch noch sehr viele Leute zu den Shows, im speziellen da beide Länder auch 1988 nicht in den Genuss der "Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour" kamen.

Die Daten im Sommer deuten eher auf eine leicht abgeänderte Setlist hin.

Bin gespannt was aus diesen Gerüchten wird.

hmmm. also eigentlich haben sie 2012 und 2013 auch die selbe setlist in Amerika gespielt.
leute aus CA, TX, NC haben da auch die selbe Show 2 mal gesehen.
sollte maiden nächstes jahr nur 6-8 grosse headliner Shows in Europa spielen könne es ja auch sein das sie nochmals die selbe setlist zocken...

Falls sie 2014 eine kleine Sommer Festival Tour machen....kann es in Deutschland nur Wacken werden!

Würde mir lieber aber ein neues gutes Album wünschen.

Falls sie dann überhaupt nach Dtl. kommen. Ich tippe mal nämlich das MAiden NICHT zum WOA kommen werden. Ich tippe das nächstes Jahr eher auf dem WOA Manowar oder Metallica Main Headliner werden. Maiden würde ich echt nicht mehr sagen...

Ich tippe aber trotzdem mal darauf das sie nächstes Jahr ne Festival Tour machen werden...

Es ist aber auch schwierig. Der eine (dave Murray) sagt, nächstes jahr wird gar nichts gemacht, der andere (smallwood) sagt, es muss jedes jahr getourt werden und bruce spricht sogar vom neuen album 2014 und das sie ja schon so viele riffs dafür haben.
Wenn sie tatsächlich nächstes jahr ein neues album rausbringen sollten, wird es bestimmt ähnlich wie 2010. USA + Festivals/Metropolen in europa. Und 2015 dann eine ausgedehnte tour dazu.

Dazu wird bruce noch auf die ganze welt verteilt vorträge halten, wegen Management und airlines usw.

Wacken wird höchstwahrscheinlich metallica. Es wird einen headliner geben, der noch nie dort war und ulrich hat vor 2 wochen gesagt, er würde gern mal auf wacken spielen.

Und es spricht dafür das im Dezember was fettes von Metallica angekündigt wird. Und im Dezember ist immer der WOA Adventskalender. Und da sind Metallica bestimmt drin. So am 24.12...

Mal kurz off-topic: Wenn metallica dort samstag headliner sind und king diamond ist direkt vorher co-headliner, könnt ihr sonst was verwetten, dass ich dort dabei bin.^^
