bei mir ist die Alive immer noch Nr1. Neverland, und ich finde das Album auch supoer, ist imo nicht so direkt sondern eher kalkulkiert.

26. Orphaned Land - All Is One

Die wird bei mir auch ganz vorne dabei sein. Würde auch sagen, dass es die stärkste Orphaned Land ist (aber wieso ist The Never Ending Way Of OrwarriOr nicht in deiner Liste? Die würde ich schon als zweitbeste sehen!). Wahrscheinlich das erste 10-Punkte Album einer Band seit 2010!


@machine-man: Von Nevermore nur das Debut? Finde fast alle anderen Platten besser! Ebenso wie bei Black Sabbath, da würde ich sämtliche Ozzy- und sogar auch Dio-Alben bevorzugen.

von nevermore hab ich sonst nur die politics of ecstasy und die ep in memory. politics ist mir zu anstrengend und in memory finde ich grandios, aber dachte, dass eps nicht zu alben dazugehören. welche nevermore geht denn in die richtung?
zu black sabbath: die alten sachen sind mir irgendwie zu alt und langweilig, die dio-sachen sind gut, aber nur partiell und die tony martin-phase finde ich durchweg einfach gelungen. da gibt es bei mir kein wenn und aber.

Ich find' nur die Ozzy-Phase durchweg genial, das sind Riffs für die Ewigkeit in Verbindung mit einer der charismatischsten Stimmen aller Zeiten! Aber gut, das ist Ansichtssache.

Die Politics mag anstrengend sein, ich finde sie aber gottgleich. Noch besser dagegen sind die Alben This Godless Endeavor (wesentlich moderner, grooviger und auch progressiver) und auch Dreaming Neon Black (vom Stil eher die Richtung des Debuts und der Politics, nur wesentlich atmosphärischer). Unbedingt anhören!
