Ich stimme mooni zu. Ee kann so geniale Lieder, es ist völlig unsinnig melodien zu klauen.

Naja, am schlimmsten war es ja wirklich auf der No World Order!, die ich selber auch nicht so affengeil wie die anderen Alben finde. Das letzt eigenständige ALbum, ohne geklaute Melodien war ja To the Metal!. Nein meiner anicht nach hört sich der Song to the metal nicht so an wie Metal Gods von Priest.

Finde ich wirklich nicht. Bei den anderen SOngs findet ihr absolut meine zustimmung, aber nicht bei To the Metal...
Das "Hail to the Metal" passt mMn garnicht auf "Metal Gods." Und ich will das noch nichtmal verteidigen, da ich den Song auch nicht so geil finde... Bloß ich habe beim hören mehrmals drüber nachgedacht, und für mich hört sich das anders an.

Wenn du von Wackne 2009 redest, dann ja. Aber das war dann eher so eine Art Medley aus Heavy Metal Univers und Ride the Sky.

Schade, habe gar nicht mitbekommen das Daniel Zimmermann GR verlassen hat. Finde ich wirklich schade und wird der Band sicherlich nicht gut tun. Er hat nicht nur gedrummt sondern sich aktiv am Songwriting beteiligt und war an sich der best ausgebildete Musiker.

Erst durch Daniel bin ich so richtig zu Gamma Ray gekommen. Kenn ihn schon seit 20 Jahre, weil er bei uns in der Gegend immer wieder in verschiedenen Coverbands auftrat. Seit 2 Jahren spielt er ja auch wieder bei einer Coverband. http://www.justiceweb.de/ Mal gespannt ob er wieder bei einer großen Band auftaucht.

You might have heard it through the grapevine already or asked yourself why Dan didn't play on the recent shows this year.

We are very sorry to announce that since January 2012 Dan has left GAMMARAY to change for a more settled lifestyle that doesn't take him away from home so often.

Here's his statement to all of you:

Dear fans,
thank you very much for your never-ending support and the countless magic moments with you during the last 15 years.

Being the drummer of Gamma Ray was an eventful, exciting, challenging and very emotional time and I would never want to miss it.
Now it is time for me to try out new avenues.

We have waited with an official statement to leave open the chance for a change of heart and because we didn't really want to start an official search for a new drummer.
Meanwhile, the guy who has played all the shows with us this year has grown so much into the band that now we can proudly present him as our new drummer,

Mr. Michael Ehré !!!



Michael is already known in the scene for his work with "Uli Jon Roth", "Metalium", "Firewind" and his band "Love Might Kill" where he proved that he is not only a great drummer but an excellent songwriter aswell.
We have already started working on new material for the next GAMMARAY album together and we are very much looking forward to enter this new era of the Rays with a fresh wind in our sails and go around the world together with a new, hopefully killer album.
