Die ersten beiden Alben find ich gut, mal schauen, was das neue Album zu bieten hat.

Oh, stimmt. September wird richtig geil!

Am 5. September kommt nämlich auch Kissin' Dynamites neue Scheibe, mittlerweile schon das vierte Album. Es trägt den Titel "Megalomania" (Größenwahn). Die erste Single "DNA" war sogar auf Platz 1 der Rock-Charts bei Amazon. Bis jetzt gab es auch fast nur richtig gutes Feedback, aber mir gefällt der Song nicht. Aber überzeugt euch selbst:

Und am 12. September kommt Stallions Debüt-Album "Rise And Ride" raus. Darauf freue ich mich nach der grandiosen Demo schon riesig, dazu ist der erste neue Song auch verdammt stark!

Suuuper! Beneath the Surface ist richtig gut. Hab ich rauf und runter gehört. Hoffentlich halten sie das Niveau!

Es kommt ein neues Album von Michael Schenker's Temple Of Rock. Es soll "Spirit On A Mission" heißen und Ende 2014 oder Anfang 2015 erscheinen.

Dream Theater veröffentlichen schon wieder eine Live-DVD. Die Setlist war klar klasse und eine Liveaufnahme von Space-Dye Vest hat sicher einen gewissen Reiz. Aber ob das nun wirklich nötig ist?

Das Teil nennt sich "Breaking the Fourth Wall" und wird als 2-DVD und Blu-ray veröffentlicht. Audio-CDs sind wieder nur in einem sicher teuren Boxset zusammen mit der Blu-ray erhältlich. Warum können sie die Audios nicht auch separat veröffentlichen?

Introducing, for the first time, Mike LePond’s Silent Assassins, a fantastic heavy, power metal album that combines all influences of Mike LePond’s favorite bands from the past and present. This album is packed with kick ass vocals, scorching riffs and epic styling – there’s something in there for any style of metal head!

The name of the album is “Mike LePond’s Assassins” and features guest performances by guitarist Metal Mike (Halford, Testament), lead guitarist and drum producer Michael Romeo (Symphony X), vocalist Alan Tecchio ( Hades, Watchtower), and, of course, main man Mike LePond on bass and rhythm guitar.

Mike LePond, well known as the bass guitar player of the US progressive metal band Symphony X, steps out for the first time to bring you his first solo effort. Heavily influenced by a variety of his contemporaries, Gene Simmons ( Kiss), his first concert experience, and later further influenced by Geddy Lee ( Rush) and Geezer Butler.

Mike LePond states: ‘This CD is all me. I wrote all the music, and all the lyrics. It’s one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done and I can’t wait to share it with my fans’.

Oha, ich befürchte mal, dass das Teil ziemlich gewöhnungsbedürftig ausfallen wird........

Befürchte ich auch. Die einzige Scheibe, die mir von Vanderbuyst wirklich gefällt ist das Debüt. Sie sind eben eine Live-Band (auch wenn's irgendwie schade ist).

Super, da freue ich mich riesig drauf.

Warrel Dane plant offenbar ein weiteres Solo-Album aufzunehmen. Es wird wahrscheinlich ein Cover-Album sein. Brauche ich eigentlich nicht unbedingt.

"Yes, yes, yes, there is going to be another solo record. I'm working on that. It's gonna be a cover record, kind of in the fashion of Johnny Cash, what he did with 'American Songs', and I'm thinking mainly Nineties, kind of, goth-metal songs. The first pick was 'Barrel Of A Gun' by DEPECHE MODE, 'Dear God' by XTC… When I go after cover songs, I go after the lyrics, 'cause I'm a lyric writer. And it's gonna be a great record; I know that much. That's what I'm doing next. But this, SANCTUARY, is my focus, for sure. It's absolutely my focus."
