und deswegen wurde die etmospähre auch bei fotd bei rir schon kaputt gemacht. nachdem bruce "you.." sagt, hätten die keinen gesang einfügen sollen.

Seh ich auch so, eine Live Version macht doch aus das sie sich teilweise von den Studioversionen unterscheidet! Macht für mich absolut kein Sinn Textzeilen im Nachhinein einzufügen die Live weggelassen wurden und gerade im Falle von Fear of the Dark hört man es in diesem Fall auch das der Teil eingefügt wurde was mich persönlich irgendwie stört

deswegen ist die liversion von fotd auch die schwächste für mich. da kommt einfach nicht die übliche "fear of the dark atmospähre"

haha, ich habe mal eine stellungs name von steve zu den "overdubs" auf rock in rio gefunden.
Let's get one thing straight. Bruce is NOT a liar.

There are NO overdubs on this live album. While it was being mixed
in New York by Kevin Shirley and myself, Bruce was in London to my
knowledge, or wherever he was, it's not an issue except to say that
he couldn't overdub anything if he wasn't there!

What HAS happened is that I made an executive decision to cut and
paste with a computer to put back in, his LIVE on the night vocals
into parts where where he was getting the audience to sing on some
choruses on some lines on their own. The reason I did this is
because in the cold light of day it sounds better with him back in
there because sometimes the audience were either out of time or not
quite loud enough. So I simply cut out parts of his vocal on the
line before and pasted it into the next line which was possible
because it was a repetitive part.

I find it amazing that people would question this band's integrity
and indeed go as far as accuse someone of being a liar. Supposed
fans like that we don't want, as far as I'm concerned we're better
off without people like that. If you don't like what I've done with
the album, don't buy it. Simple!

never! naja gut, wenn man sich auf youtube die übertragung aus dem fernsehn ansieht, hat steve schon teilweise recht, wie z.b. bei the clansman. aber bei fear of the dark war es ja nun wirklich nicht nötig.

Darum finde ich den Live Sound von Flight 666 um Welten besser.

kommt ja 4x freedom und danch heiß es eigentlich:
It is right to believe in the need to be free
It's a time when you die and without asking why
Can't you see what they do they are grinding us down
They are taking our land that belongs to the clans

und bruce singt aber:
It's a time wrought with fear it's a land wrought with change
Ancestors could hear What is happening now
They would turn in their graves they would all be ashamed

zwar nichts dramatisches, finde es aber trotzdem lustig, ode eigentlich schade.

ja, wenn man's weiß, dann hört man das auch. das ist z.b. eine der stellen, die ich gemeint habe. ich finde es da z.b. besser, dass burce's gesang reingeschnitten wurde.

Nachgeholfen wurde wie schon erwähnt bei FotD und RttH!

Jeder, der eine Bootlegaufnahme der Show hat (Audio oder Video, kann das prüfen! eigentlich bemerkt man das auch ohne Bootleg. Es klingt einfach nicht richtig!

Bei der DVD wurden ausserdem Aufnahmen der vorherigen Show in Chile reingeschnitten.
Dass Ansagen bei Livealben be- oder rausgeschnitten werden ist (leider) völlig normal. Ich bevorzuge von „RiR“ klar die Bootlegaufnahmen weil die Stimmung viel besser rüberkommt als bei der offiziellen Version! Mir gefällt es wenn man z.B. beim Refrain nur das Publikum mitsingen hört, da brauche ich kein reinkopierter Bruce!

also obwohl ich mir sicher bin, dass bei rir ein wenig geholfen wurde (clansman, WRATHCHILD: REFRAIN: BRUCE RECKT ARME IN DEN HIMMEL (MIKRO ALSO VOM MUND WEG) UND MAN HÖRT IHN TRZD. SINGEN) gefällt mir das album bei weitem besser al bei lad.
